PAT Testing
We now offer training and assessment for those wishing to undertake Portable Appliance Testing (PAT). Successful completion of the assessment will allow the candidate to be included on the NICEIC register of PAT Testers. Businesses must have their potable electrical tools/appliances checked annual. This can only be achieved by using an approved PAT instrument. This equipment is available direct from the centre at a discounted price. The course is suitable for both those wishing to cut costs by undertaking their own tests and for anyone with the desire to branch out in this market.
Any existing PAT Testing operatives are also encouraged to undertake this assessment as this will allow entry to the NICEIC register giving your work a good mark of quality, something many customers now demand.
We offer one and a half day training courses followed by a short assessment. All courses are held in our electrical suite purposely constructed to provide a safely and pleasant working environment.

17th Edition of the Wiring Regulations
The 17th edition of the wiring regulation are now upon us. It is expected that City and Guilds will launch the 17th Edition courses in February 2008. Those undertaken electrical work are required to gain a qualification demonstrating a knowledge of the current wiring regulations.
So whether you need to update your 16th Edition or obtain an award for the first time give us a call.
Main Equipotential Bonding (MEB1)
Those installing main equipotential bonding but are not electrically qualified can do so by obtaining a MEB1 award. This will be on sale from January 2008.
