OFTEC Training/Assessment
We offer a variety of OFTEC training courses and accredited assessments. It is a requirement that oil installations are reported to building control. However engineers who have successfully completed the relevant OFTEC training/assessment and once registered with OFTEC can self-certificate removing the need to involve building control. Therefore OFTEC membership is cost effective for those intending to work on oil. Piper Assessment Limited not only offer these courses but can also discount OFTEC company membership by £250 for all who use the centre.
Support Material
We are happy to supply OFTEC reference material for use during and after the assessment. These books are essential to the courses and candidates are permitted to use them for reference during the assessment. We will advise you as to which books are relevant to meet your individual needs.
OFT 105E
This is a theory only course and assessment. It covers appliance installation including fuel conservation. The course and assessment will take place in a theory room and as will all our products will be delivered in a friendly manner with plenty of opportunities for asking questions.
The course will be based on OFTEC books 1,3 & 4 as well as the domestic heating design guide.
OFT 101
This is a theory and practical course and assessment. It covers the servicing, faultfinding and commissioning of domestic pressure jet appliances. The course and assessment will be based on OFTEC technical books 1,2,3 and 4.
OFT 102
This is a theory and practical course and assessment. It covers the servicing, faultfinding and commissioning of domestic vaporising appliances. The course and assessment will be based on OFTEC technical books 1,3,4 and 5.
OFT 600A
This is a theory only course and assessment. It covers advanced domestic/commercial, industrial tank installation. The course will be based on OFTEC technical books 1 & 3.
