Assessments are undertaken in our well equiped workshop. A friendly atmosphere is created to put the candidates at ease. The assessment process has been developed to reduce days away from work for the candidate. One of the main ways of reducing this "lost production time" is by offering a variety of update products, these are listed below:
The Viper distance learning package can be purchased directly from us. It is available for both natural Gas & LPG. The workbooks are linked to user friendly reference books which, if not written in, can be taken into the assessment.
The workbooks cover Core(CCN1), Boilers(CEN1), Cookers(CKR1),Fires(HTR1), Water Heaters(WAT1), Warm Air(DAH1) & Laundry(LAU1).
The main advantages of this method of training are: substantially reduce cost, learning at your own pace, ability to measure existing knowledge. This product also allows an individual to assess readiness to undertake ACS assessment. If it is determined that more training is needed then option two will be appropriate.
We offer two one-day refresher training course. Both of these are theory only and linked to the distance learning product. The first course covers aspects that are required to complete the core assessment CCN1. The second course concentrates on the most popular appliances: Boilers, Cookers, Fires, Water Heaters and Warm Air. YES! all five appliances are covered in the same day. Half day courses are also available for Boilers only. Our theory courses are primarily classroom based - however, trainees will be given the opportunity to get their hands on components during the course.
The courses are designed to be interactive, encouraging group participation and delivered in a friendly style.
A one day practical training day is offered as an extension to our CCN1 theory course. During the day trainees will be given the opportunity to practice the techniques covered in the theory training.
This is achieved by working through practical exercises either individually or in pairs, with the support of one of our trainers.
To fully maximise the quality of our practical training you will find our group sizes are smaller than expected.
