This is a requirement for those undertaking electrical work. So we are offering the 17th Edition to complement our Part P Courses
To encourage early booking and to celebrate the launch of the 17th Edition of the Wiring Regulations, every 17th payment recieved will be returned and the booking will proceed free of charge (a saving of up to £600) as long as the booking is not cancelled or the date of attendance is not moved. That's a 1 in 17 chance of recieveing the qualification free.
We offer training and assessment to meet the requirements of Part P of the Building Regulations. Our extensive range of products are most suited to either category B or C entrants. These routes of entry are defined scope and are suited for those who wish to self-certify their own electrical work to compliment their main activity i.e a heating engineer wiring the system.
A Category B operative will be able to gain the necessary registration to self-certify new circuits whereas Category C will be limited to spurs and wiring systems from that spur. Both of these activities can only be undertaken in conjunction of the individuals primary work activity.
We Now Offer Both Full Scope And Defined Scope Training And Assessment For Categories A, B & C
A four day training course is offered. This course is not designed for electricians but for those wishing to operate within one of the
nineteen defined scope work areas. The course has been tailored for those with limited electrical experience to offer the underpinning knowledge necessary to undertake the competency assessment.
This course will not enable an individual to become an electrician but to operate safely with regard to electrical installation, confined to their chosen scope. Course books are included within the course price and are available at time of booking.
Successful completion of the one day assessment will allow for the individual to apply for registration to either NICEIC or CORGI. The choice of registration body is crucial as an incorrect decision can limit the scope of work that can be self certified. Advice will be given at the time of booking.
We recommend Easitest test equipment. This has been specially designed with the defined scope operative in mind and, as the name suggests, is incredibly easy to use. A discounted Easitest can be supplied if required.
17th Edition of the Wiring Regulations
The 17th edition of the wiring regulation are now upon us. It is expected that City and Guilds will launch the 17th Edition courses in February 2008. Those undertaken electrical work are required to gain a qualification demonstrating a knowledge of the current wiring regulations.
So whether you need to update your 16th Edition or obtain an award for the first time give us a call.
Those installing main equipotential bonding but are not electrically qualified can do so by obtaining a MEB1 award. This will be on sale from Spring 2008.
